An Oyo state High Court has granted an order compelling the Department of the State Services (DSS) to pay popular Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho a sum of N20 billion as damages.
Justice Ladiran Akintola of Oyo State High Court, in his ruling on the DSS’s raid on Igboho’s residence at Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State described the act as illegal, arbitrary, aggression and prejudices against the separatist leader. Breaking! [PHOTOS] Igboho’s House Attacked 3 Days To Lago
The court then ordered DSS to pay N20 billion to Igboho as exemplary and aggravated damages.
Recall that the operatives of the DSS on July 1 raided the residence of Igboho located in Soka.

According to the DSS spokesman, Mr Peter Afunanya, the invasion was based on an intelligence report that Igboho was stockpiling arms to cause chaos within the southwest region.
Thirteen people were also arrested from the house after a gun battle between his guards and security operatives
Meanwhile, the lawyer of Igboho, Chief Yomi Aliu, (SAN) filed an application before the high Court, seeking the payment of N500 billion damages for the invasion of the activist’s residence on July 1.
