China has pledged to donate a total of $30.7 million worth of aid to Afghanistan.

China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi stated that the aid is to help Afghanistan combat Taliban, a terrorist organisation that has taken over the affairs of the country.

The Minister made the pledge at a video conference with his counterparts from countries neighbouring Afghanistan.

He also added that China would provide additional aid to Afghanistan in order to help the country fight the Coronavirus pandemic. The minister added that China is already planning the delivery of three million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Afghanistan.

The minister also called on the United States to join hands with other nations to pull Afghanistan out of chaos.

According to him, US is more obliged than any other country to provide economic and humanitarian aid to support the Afghans, maintain stability and avoid chaos.
