Death struck a blow at the wrong time in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Currently, the PDP has lost key members of its party to defection and now death has taken its toll on the party.

The lawmaker representing Akure North and Akure South in the House of Representatives, Hon Omolafe Adedayo Isaac also known as “Expensive” died in the early hours of Monday, August 16, 2021.

The lawmaker who died around 2 am in a private hospital in Akure, the Ondo State capital, was elected to the National Assembly on the platform of the PDP.

He was a former local council and Coordinator of the SURE-P program during the President Goodluck Jonathan administration.

His death comes when PDP has lost some of its valuable members to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), amid efforts by the PDP to quell the storm.

This year alone, the party has lost lawmakers and governors to the APC, including Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State and Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State.

PDP has also lost other big wigs like the former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole to the ruling party.

Hon Omolafe Adedayo Isaac’s death comes at a time when PDP is trying to mend fences.
