After spending 80 days in captivity, the two nurses of Idon General Hospital in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State, who were abducted by bandits, have regained freedom.
One of the family members of a victim, name withheld, confirmed their release to journalists on Sunday.
It would be recalled the two unfortunate nurses were kidnapped on April 22, 2021 while on night duty at the General Hospital, Kajuru.
A credible source disclosed that the bandits collected the sum of N10.5 million, two motorcycles, five mobile phones and airtime worth N6,000 as ransom on their victims.
“We received the good news today, Saturday, 10th July, 2021 that they have been released at Idon but we’re yet to receive them into the family,” the source stated.
According to sources, the nurses were released on Sunday around 7:00 pm on Saturday.
