The wife of O’odua Nation Agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho, has been abducted by some unidentified gunmen who attacked his house in the early hours of Thursday.

The New Diplomat had reported that the house of the Agitator came under attack on Thursday.

According to Igboho’s spokesman, Mr Olayomi Koiki, the residence of the Yoruba agitator located in the Soka area of Ibadan was attacked by armed men in military camouflage.

The wife of Igboho was reportedly abducted during the invasion of the house.

This was contained in a statement issued by the leader of Yoruba self-determination movement, Ilana Omo Oodua, Prof. Banji Akintoye, and signed by his Communications Manager, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye.

According to the statement, the group alleged the Nigerian authorities of sponsoring the invasion of Igboho’s house and the abduction of his wife by the unknown armed men.

The Communications Manager in the statement alleged that “the assailants were all dressed in military uniform and spoke French language fluently.”

He further said that “the gunmen killed seven occupants in the building and whisked Igboho’s wife and several others away.”

The incident happened 72 hours to the Yoruba Nation rally slated for Saturday in Lagos State.

The attacked which reportedly occurred around 1:00am came less than three days to the Yoruba Nation rally in Lagos planned by Igboho and co-agitators.
