The Federal Government has re-introduced a nationwide curfew as part of efforts to check the further spread of COVID-19. It lasts from 12midnight to 4am.

The National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Mohammed, disclosed this on Monday at a press briefing in Abuja.

Mohammed said the curfew would take effect from midnight on Monday, May 10.

With effect from Tuesday, he said, night clubs, gyms, and others would remain closed till further notice.

According to him, gatherings of religious groups and weddings, among others, have again been reduced to 50 percent capacity of the venue while official engagements, meetings, and conferences should continue to hold virtually.
