Former President of the United States (U.S) Donald Trump, on Tuesday launched a new communication platform.

“From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” appears on the new official website of the former president- www.DonaldJTrump.com/desk.

According the website, the new communication platform will serve as “a place to speak freely and safely.”

Trump was banned by Twitter and suspended by Facebook and YouTube after the Capitol riots in January. Trump was alleged of inciting violence through his comments.

The new platform, would allow Trump to post comments, images, and videos.

Other users will also be able to like the posts and also share them on other social media platform like Twitter and Facebook.

However, the new platform does not have a feature to allow users to reply or engage Trump’s posts.

According to reports, the new platform was built by Campaign Nucleus, a digital services company created by Trump’s former campaign manager, Brad Parscale.

The move is coming on the heels of the decision by Facebook, Wednesday, to uphold the ban placed on the accounts owned by former US President Donald Trump on its platform over concerns of incitement of violence.

Upholding the ban on Trump’s Facebook, the board said: “Given the seriousness of the violations and the ongoing risk of violence, Facebook was justified in suspending Mr. Trump’s accounts on January 6 and extending that suspension on January 7.”
