Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege stormed Illah Community located in Delta North on Saturday to inspect the ongoing road construction project along the Asaba-Illah axis.

Senator Omo-Agege was accompanied by Senator Peter Nwaoboshi who represents Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate.

The Asaba-Ugbolu-Illah road project in Delta is being undertaken by Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

Speaking during the project inspection, Mr Ogbuenyi Ozo Njagwuni and Dr. Olise Isiekwe, who represented the Illah community, lauded Omo Agege and his counterpart, Nwaoboshi for their commitment in facilitating infrastructural development in the community, as well as their quality of representation in the National Assembly.

The duo, on behalf of the community assured Omo-Agege and Nwaoboshi of their support, stating that the community is behind them.

In his remarks, Senator Omo-Agege, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District and the Obarisi of Urhobo land appreciated the Illah people for their warm reception.

He also assured the people of the community of more developmental projects, adding that the community will enjoy more dividends of democracy.

Speaking further, Omo-Agege also appreciated the people of Illah for always supporting him.

The Deputy Senate President also hailed his counterpart, Nwaoboshi for his unalloyed and absolute support and cooperation at the National Assembly and for also driving developmental projects for the benefit of Deltans.

In his response, Nwaoboshi, appreciated the people of Illah for the unending support. He also said he would ensure the community gets more infrastructural projects.
