Unidentified gunmen have abducted scores of students of the Greenfield University located at Kashmir Village along the Abuja/Kaduna Highway.
It was gathered that the gunmen invaded the university on Tuesday around 10:30 pmand started shooting sporadically
Scores of the students and some lecturers in the school were reportedly abducted.
However, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, has also confirmed the abduction but could not ascertain the number of people abducted during the attack.
The Greenfield University is the first private university in Kaduna. It began operations in 2019.
About 39 students of Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka, Kaduna State, were also comprising 23 females and 16 males were abducted from the school by bandits on March 11.
Ten of the students have been reportedly released as of press time.
Two days after, suspected bandits attacked a Government Science Secondary School in Ikara, Kaduna State but the attack was foiled by security agents.
