There is palpable tension in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State as a tanker conveying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as pertrol exploded.

It was gathered that the explosion happened in the early hours of Tuesday and scores of houses and properties have been destroyed.

Many people have also been feared dead in the incident, although, there hasn’t been any official report as at the time of filling this report.

This is coming barely three days after a tanker explosion occured in Oshigbudu community of Agatu LGA.

The New Diplomat had reported that the tanker conveying petrol lost its balance and spilled its content, thereby leading to a fire accident.

According to the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), 12 persons lost their lives to the fire accident.
