Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has been officially unveiled as a Kano Pillars player following his return to his boyhood club.

Musa was handed his favourite number seven by Surajo Jambul, the club chairman.

The winger had played for the Kano club in 2009 and finished as the NPFL’s top scorer with 18 goals, but he has been without a club since he left Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia last year.

Amongst the contractual agreement reached is that Musa will leave if he gets an offer that suits him.

Speking on his return, the winger said he was ready to contribute his best to ensure Kano Pillars clinch the NPFL title this season.

In Musa’s words: “I left Pillars over 10 years ago without winning the league then but now I will make a special record by leading the club to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.”

Kano Pillars are currently second on the league table behind leaders Kwara United on goal difference and many would like to see the gaffer in the game between Kano Pillars and Warri Wolves once the NPFL resumes from it’s mid-season break.

Musa has played for VV Venlo, CSKA Moscow, and Leicester City among other European clubs in his distinguished career.
