Liverpool’s top four hopes has gained momentum following their comprehensive win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, Saturday.

Second-half strikes from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah bagged the three points for Liverpool, as they travel back to Anfield Stadium.

Jurgen Kloop’s side bossed the possession from the blast of whistle till the end of the game.

However, it took the visitors 64 minutes to break the deadlock, following the introduction of Jota, who headed in a perfect cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool then went on to doubled their lead through Salah, four minutes after, as the forward scored for the first time in six premier league games.

Jota ensured that the visitors walked away with three points with his 82nd minute goal.

Following the win, Liverpool are up to fifth place with 49 points, two behind fourth-placed Chelsea, while, Arsenal stay ninth with 42 points from 30 matches, and could drop to tenth should Aston Villa avoid a defeat against Fulham.

Liverpool has now ended the unwanted record win their recent win at Emirate.

Prior to Saturday, Liverpool had only won one of their last 19 visit to Arsenal, drawing nine and losing the other nine.

Recall also that Liverpool’s defeat at Arsenal last season ended their hopes of equalling the 100 premier league points set by Manchester City.

Similarly, a draw at Emirates Stadium in 2018/2019 season ended there titles hopes as Manchester City went on to win the league by a point.
