A section of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), in Lagos was reportedly gutted by fire on Wednesday.

According to the reports, the incident occurred at the departure hall of the Kenyan Airways of the airport raising panic among air passengers.

Checks also revealed that some fire fighters from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), have salvage the situation and quenched the fire.

However, the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.

Also, the airport authorities were yet to react to the incident or release an official statement on the damages incurred from the fire incident.
