Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has been sworn-in for a second term in office.

Akeredolu, who was re-elected as the governor of the state on October 10, 2020 took the oath of office on Wednesday.

Akeredolu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress had defeated the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, and Ondo Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, who contested on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party to win a re-election last October.

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the running mate of Akeredolu was also sworn-in as the deputy governor.

The oath of office was administered by Olarenwaju Akeredolu, the Chief Judge of Ondo State, at about 10:30am.

Akeredolu was accompanied by his wife, Betty and children.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the International Culture and Event Center, Igbatoro Road, Akure.

Many prominent individuals across the country graced the occasion.

Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo State, Adegboyega Oyetola, Governor of Osun State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State, Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State, were all present at the event.

Also, present at the inauguration ceremony are, Bisi Akande, former Governor of Osun State, Ibikunle Amosun, former Governor of Ogun State, Ken Nnamani, former Senate President, Iyiola Omisore, former deputy governor of Osun State.
