The remains of the former Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande has been laid to rest.
Jakande, who died Thursday, was buried at the Vaults and Gardens in Ikoyi, Lagos, Friday.
The burial was in line with his muslim faith.
According to Jakande’s son, Deji, the elder statesman and astute administrator breathed his last in his sleep, at his Ilupeju residence in Lagos, Thursday morning.
Jakande has been given mouthwatering credits for the loads of groundbreaking projects he initiated during his tenure as the first democratically elected Governor of Lagos between 1979 and 1983 before the military struck through a coup to displace civil rule at the time.
