Lagos, FCT and Kaduna State on Wednesday led with a total of 574 Covid-19 cases, Wednesday.

Lagos had (297), FCT followed with (194) and Kaduna had (83) of the 1131 newly recorded cases of the contagion.

This was announced by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on its official website.

However, with 297 newly confirmed cases in Lagos, a total of 52, 282 cases have been confirmed, 47,244 discharged and 352 deaths recorded.

So far, FCT has recorded 18,168 confirmed cases, with 11,584 discharged and 134 deaths.

Also, Kaduna had a total of 7,942 confirmed cases, 7,627 discharged and 57 deaths.

Regrettably, Nigeria recorded 8 additional deaths in the last 24 hours. This figure has risen the country’s death toll to 1702.

Overall, 142, 578 cases have been confirmed in the country so far. 116, 947 cases have been discharged and 1702 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to NCDC, 773 community recoveries in Lagos State and 66 community recoveries in Imo State were recorded and discharged.

The 1131 new cases are reported from 22 states- Lagos (297), FCT (194), Kaduna (83), Kano (59), Oyo (58), Taraba (53), Imo (52), Osun (47), Plateau (45), Edo (43), Akwa Ibom (42), Rivers (42), Ogun (29), Kwara (24), Benue (21), Nasarawa (16), Ekiti (7), Bauchi (6), Delta (6), Bayelsa (4), Sokoto (2), and Gombe (1)
