The Nigerian Army operating in North East under Operation LAFIYA DOLE with conjunction with other security agencies has arrested 2 officers, 2 soldiers, 2 policemen and 26 civilians as saboteurs and collaborators of Boko Haram terrorists.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by the acting Director Army Public Relations Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman. He said many more suspects would be arrested and prosecuted based on evidences against them and level of culpability.
“Please be informed the ongoing investigation on suspected Boko Haram terrorists collaborators and saboteurs in the fight against terrorism and insurgency has led to the arrest of 9 more persons over the last 24 hours, thus bringing the number to 30, this comprise of 2 officers, 2 soldiers, 2 policemen and 26 civilians. Many more suspects would be arrested and prosecuted based on evidences against them and level of culpability” Usman said.
The Army spokesman said investigation is ongoing, adding that he will give more details as time goes on and things unfold.
