A militant group called Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate, has claimed responsibility for an attack on a crude oil pipeline in Iwhremaro, Delta State, on Thursday night.

Reuters said it got a confirmation of the attack from a military spokesman, Thomas Otuji, who said, “It was sabotage by vandals”.

Militant attacks on oil facilities had hampered production and reduced output to 700,000 barrels per day.
