An Abuja Magistrate Court has granted bail to Activist, Omoyele Sowore and four others arrested alongside with him on January 1.
The Chief Magistrate, Mabel Segun-Bello ordered that Sowore be bailed in the sum of N20 million naira and two sureties in like sum.
He also ordered Juwon Sanyaolu, Damilare Adenola, Peter and Kimrere be bailed with the sum of N1 million naira each and sureties in like sum.
Sowore, the convener of Revolution Now and the four activists were arraigned on a three-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly and alleged attempt to incite others during a protest organized on New Year Eve protest in the FCT, Abuja.
However, the court ordered that Sowore avail himself to the court Registrar every Monday and Friday and must remain in Abuja till the case is concluded.
 In 2019, Sowore was detained for over 100 days by the Department of State Service for organizing a RevolutionNow protest. He was later released in the December of that year.
