NYSC Schedules Batch ‘B’ Stream II to Commence January 19

The National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) has scheduled the 2020 Batch ‘B’ Stream II orientation course to start on Tuesday 19th, 2021.

The commission which revealed this on its Twitter account said this batch orientation course is planned to start on Tuesday 19th, January, 2021 and end on Monday 8th, February, 2021.

It would be recalled that the orientation programme is designed to flag off the one-year mandatory national youth service corps nationwide. Typically, the orientation course lasts for a duration of three weeks, after which corps members would be deployed to respective duty posts at various government and private institutions.

The New Diplomat’s checks show that this current set is the second batch the commission has scheduled for commencement since the pandemic halted the process last year.

Recall that the NYSC is a program set up by the Nigerian government to involve Nigerian graduates in various aspects of nation building and national development. The commission was conceived and founded on 22 May, 1973 by the regime of then Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon.
