Information reaching us has it that the six kidnapped victims from the Lagos State Model College, Igbo – Nla in Epe Area of Lagos have been released by their abductors.

The victims are four students, the school principal and his vice kidnapped while on the assembly ground on Thursday, October 6.

The men, alleged to be heavily armed, were said to have invaded the college and whisked away the victims. Two of the kidnapped persons were swiftly rescued by the Police operatives.

The kidnappers later reportedly demanded 100 million Naira ransom for the other victims to regain freedom. It is not clear if any ransom was paid for their release.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni had promised that the Police would rescue others as more operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) were deployed to ensure this.
