An Abuja magistrate court has ordered the remand of the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore and four others at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

Juwon Sanyaolu, Damilare Adenola, Peter and Kimrere who participated in the protest led by Sowore were also arraigned. Their formal bail application is expected to be heard, Tuesday.

The New Diplomat had reported Sowore was arrested by the police for leading a protest on New Year Eve in the Gudu area of Abuja. He had termed it ‘Cross Over Protest’ to demand for good governance in the country.
