The Lagos State Safety Commission has sealed off Cubana Nightclub Ikeja and other facilities for non-compliance to the State Government COVID-19 protocols.

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Lagos State on New Media, Gawat Jubril revealed this on social media, as disclosing that people disobeying the COVID-19 protocols were also ordered out of the premises by the security agencies.

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday December 18, banned music concerts, street parties, and nightclubs as part of measures to contain the spread of COVID19 in the state.

Nigeria is experiencing a second wave of the pandemic and so the numbers of confirmed cases COVID-19  is on the rise.

On Saturday night, a team from the Lagos State Safety Commission led by the Lagos state commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, stormed the Ikeja GRA facility of Cubana grills and shut down the facility for opening despite the ban on night clubs.

Viral video of the incident was shared online by the Lagos state government as nightclub goers were ordered out of the facility.

Cubana Club is a famous club in Nigeria, a place for party goers throughout the week.

With a mix of local and international celebrities, the who’s who of the party scene and tourists from the world over a night out at Club Cubana is an amazing experience.
