A teenage suicide bomber, girl, has reportedly killed at least three people as she blew herself up in a crowd in Konduga, Borno state.

Konduga is about 38 kilometres from Borno state capital, Maiduguri located in the Nigeria’s beleaguered Northeast.

“We evacuated three dead bodies and two people who were seriously injured from the scene,” an aid worker, Abubakar Mohammed told AFP.

According to the AFP’s account of the attack, the bomber, a teenage girl blew up explosives among a group of men at a meeting centre close to an Emir palace in Konduga.

The town has been in the news for incessant attacks by the terrorist’s organisation — Boko Haram as its men continue to attack soft targets including markets, mosques and churches in the region.

About 36,000 people have been killed and around two million displaced since 2009 when the insurgency began in the country.

On Thursday, the group had claimed responsibility for the abduction of 344 Schoolboys in Kankara. However, the Nigerian government dismissed the claims following the release of the abducted boys on Thursday.
