Twenty-five people have died in the attack on a Sikh temple in Kabul, the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.

The attack has been claimed by the Islamic State terrorist group, according to a statement on the group’s mouthpiece Amaq News agency.

Eighty people who were in the temple were rescued by the security forces, the ministry said. Eight people were wounded. (dpa)
