Campaign posters reportedly carrying the image of Rotimi Amaechi as presidential candidate and Nasir El-Rufai as Vice Presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections surfaced in Abuja, Monday.

Amaechi is the current Minister of Transportation, while El-Rufai is the Governor of Kaduna state. The posters tend to suggest that the duo are allegedly aiming for a joint ticket.

However, there has been no official communication from the two politicians on the sudden emergence of the posters as at the time of this reporting. Some of the posters were seen at Central area of Abuja on Monday, November 2, 2020.

Though the next general elections seem far to many, The New Diplomat checks reveal that some politicians are already positioning themselves ahead of 2023 election.

The poster which has the following message: “The People’s choice… Today may not be the best, but tomorrow will be better,” adorned some strategic buildings and locations along major highways in the FCT.
