“Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa will be re-elected in 2019” says Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) front runner, Sapele State Constituency, Chief Felix Anirah.

“Okowa’s victory in 2019 governorship election is not in doubt.”

Speaking Sunday morning in Sapele, Anirah said Okowa would solidly win a second term in 2019 because of his performance.

“Governor Okowa has done very well in wealth creation, infrastructure and human capital development. He has a clear path to winning reelection and doing more for the people” he said. Anirah praised the governor for transforming the state and touching many lives positively.

The former APC chieftain spoke about the commitment of Okowa to the development of Delta State and a path to victory in 2019.

“Okowa’s reelection prospects are not threatened by the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He will easily win the 2019 governorship election because of his exceptional performance and the infighting in APC. I was in APC. The party is not interested in winning elections in Delta State. It has been factionalized.”

He said his decision to run for the Delta State House of Assembly position stemmed from his desire to make the good people of Sapele feel the impact of effective representation.

“We need a representative that can maintain relationship with party officers and standard in project implementation. We need a representative that will work in synergy with Governor Okowa in the development of the state.”

The highly respected chief also spoke on the moribund African Timber and Plywood, Eternit Nigeria Limited and Life Flour Mill Limited.

“Eternit is gone. Life Flour Mill is about to go. I’ll intervene. I’ll show concern. I’ll attract projects critical to the needs of the people. I’ll work with members of the National Assembly towards the upgrading of the Sapele Technical College. I’ll ensure adequate equipment in our hospitals.”

Anirah who is not happy with representatives tagged as snoring lawmakers and seat warmers urged the people to make wise choice by choosing  someone that can lobby and influence budget process so that projects of interest that will transform Sapele are captured in the budget.

“I’m on a very good step. I’m confident. I’m coasting to victory in Sapele. ” he said.

The former chairman of Sapele Local Government urged PDP faithful to vote their conscience. “Sapele needs credible representation, someone that can articulate the common dream” he added.
