By John Oghojafor

Ahead of the 2019 general election in Delta State, PDP leader from Ughelli South Local Government Area and former Minister of Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi has endorsed Chief Ighoyota Amori for the Senatorial seat of Delta Central.

Declaring his support for the Senatorial aspirant during the consultation visit of Chief Amori to him in his country home, Oginibo, Ughelli South today, April 7, 2018, Olorogun Gbagi expressed confidence in the capacity and capability of Chief Amori to give purposeful and effective representation for the people of Delta Central Senatorial District in the Red Chamber, come 2019.

According to the renown industrialist/politician, Chief Amori’s presence in the Senate will attract positive development to Delta Central landscape, adding that he (Amori) is someone whom he can walk to in Abuja and request from him the execution of constituency projects in Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Speaking further, Olorogun Gbagi assured that very soon he would summon a meeting of the PDP delegates in Ughelli South to intimate them that Chief Amori is the choice of the people for Delta Central Senatorial seat in 2019.

According to him, he will lead Chief Amori campaign after ensuring that he emerges as the PDP Senatorial candidate for Delta Central, adding that the Mosogar-born PDP stalwart has all it takes to give the Urhobo people quality representation which they deserve in the National Assembly.

Earlier, Chief Amori has described Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi as an astute, reliable and time-tested politician whose political influence has grown astronomically over the years across the entire political landscape of Nigeria, recalling that at the inception of the present political dispensation in 1998, he (Olorogun Gbagi) declined contesting for the governorship of the state when he was called upon to do so, which according to Amori, he could have conveniently won.

Highpoint of the visit was the formal endorsement of Chief Amori as the PDP Senatorial aspirant by Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, who during his speech reiterated that his statement is irreversible.

Present at the occasion was the Director-General of Amori Campaign Organization, Olorogun Moses Odibo, Dr. Amos Ighoroje, Dr. Oharisi, among other personalities in the entourage of the Senatorial aspirant including a capacity-filled hall with Olorogun Gbagi supporters from across Ughelli South Area.

The Chief Amori Consultation Visit train had earlier visited Oto-Ogor and Ughelli township where he visited Chief Andersen and Mr. Sam Obamohwoeyeren among other PDP leaders.
