Justice Abang Okon of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the trial of the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh till Feb 9 for continuation of trial.

Political adviser to former vice president Namadi Sambo Abah Dabor says he received the sum of Twenty-five million naira from the national publicity secretary of the party, olisa metuh to manage the image of the peoples democratic party and president Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the 2015 general Elections.

Abah Dabo was giving testimony in the trial of metuh over criminal Diversion of four hundred million naira and said  that the money he received from metuh on the 16th of december,2014 was meant to tackle the negative publicity being received by president Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP from the all progressives congress.

He added that the money was refunded to the EFCC, as he could not reach Metuh at the time, as reports in the media linked the transaction between him and the PDP spokesman to the funds meant for the procurement of arms.

“There were publications in the media linking my transaction with Metuh to controversial circumstances. It was alleged that the N25m he gave me through his company was sourced from the arms deal.

“In view of that, I decided to return the money back to THE EFCC as Metuh could not be reached.” Dabo said.
