English Premier League side Everton, on Friday, announced the signing of Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru.

The Toffees revealed that the player has been hooked for a five-year deal until 2022 for an undisclosed fee though reports suggest the fee was around £7 million

“Everton has completed the signing of exciting Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru.

“The pacy 20-year-old has joined the Blues from Belgian side Eupen for an undisclosed fee, becoming the Club’s third confirmed signing of the 2017 summer transfer window.

“Onyekuru, who has signed a five-year contract until the end of June 2022, joins on the back of a prolific 2016/17 season when he was the Pro League’s joint-top scorer with 22 goals,” Everton stated on their website.

The Nigerian will now be sent out on loan to Belgian champions Anderlecht for the whole of next season. He will also get the chance to play Uefa Champions League football with the Pro League side.
