15 #EndSARS protesters said to have suffered gunshot wounds during the October shootings at the Lekki Toll Gate stormed the venue of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry, Friday.

The panel has been probing the Lekki shootings and other cases of police brutality in the state.

While 14 of the victims were said to have been shot at Lekki Toll Gate, one was reportedly shot at Ojodu Berger.

A relative to a victim, named Abouta Solomon, said to have been shot dead at the toll gate, was among the victims who appeared at the venue of the panel sitting.Lekki Gunshot and panel

Reports say the deceased has been buried in his hometown in Mubi Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Aiyedungbe Olufunmi Grace, whose brother died at LASUTH after suffering gunshot injury to the head, also came.

Grace said after her brother’s death, the hospital authorities said he died of COVID-19.

The Nigerian Army has denied allegations that it shot at peaceful protesters, even though it admitted that soldiers deployed to the scene were with live ammunitions.

The army claimed it only fired blanks into the air to disperse the protesters.
